Sydney DuBose

Climate Justice Fellow

Sydney DuBose (she/her) is the Climate Justice Fellow at Second Nature. In this role, Sydney will contribute to the development of tools and resources for the Climate Leadership Network of over 400 colleges and universities.

Prior to joining the Second Nature team, Sydney earned a bachelors of science in Environmental Science and certificates in Geographic Information Systems and Sustainability from the University of Pittsburgh. During the pandemic, Sydney discovered her passion for environmental justice after starting her eco-Instagram. On this platform, she educated others about climate issues and social justice. Being a resident assistant, university tour guide, and admissions counselor at Pitt, Sydney saw firsthand the impact higher education could have. She is looking forward to helping Second Nature achieve their goal of accelerating climate action through higher education.

Outside of work, Sydney can be found on stage performing standup or improvising. She also enjoys crafting, being outdoors, hanging out with friends, and chilling at home with her orange cat, Oliver. She grew up in a south suburb of Chicago, but currently calls Pittsburgh home.
