Sanghamitra (Mia) Sen (she/her/hers)
Climate Programs Associate
Mia Sen is the Climate Programs Associate at Second Nature. She focuses mainly on Second Nature’s newly initiated Climate Asset Mapping Project (CAMP) and the management of the University Climate Change Coalition (UC3) program.
Mia’s principal educational training has broadly been in environmental policy and planning, with a focus on climate risk education and communication. Prior to joining Second Nature, she worked with the Graham Sustainability Institute and the Great Lakes Integrated Sciences + Assessment (GLISA), both housed at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where she recently completed her master’s degree in Environmental Policy and Planning. At Graham, she assisted with programmatic duties toward the mission of promoting sustainability through external partnerships in education, and at GLISA, her research focused on climate vulnerability and the role of boundary organizations in advancing climate policy action.
In her free time, Mia enjoys spending time lazing around lakes and beaches, going to the gym, baking bread, and perfecting the art of cappuccino making.
