Throughout 2021, Second Nature and the Intentional Endowments Network will lead a process of learning, planning, acting, and leading on equity and climate on our campuses, in our communities, and across our society and economy.
The Climate Action Pursuit is a series of milestone check-in points – in February, June, October, and December 2021 – that will give participants the tools and peer-support to accomplish their climate, resilience, and justice goals. The flexible virtual program will be designed to fit our networks’ busy schedules and competing priorities.
The Climate Leadership Network is a network of colleges and universities in nearly all fifty states who are taking action on climate change and preparing students through research and education. It is a signature program of Second Nature, and provides resources, networking, and national engagement opportunities.
To join the Climate Leadership Network, a college/university president/chancellor makes a bold commitment to taking climate action on their campus by signing onto at least one (1) of three (3) Presidents’ Climate Leadership Commitments.
The University Climate Change Coalition (UC3) is a coalition of leading North American research universities committed to working with their communities to achieve climate goals. UC3 accomplishes this through a cross-sectoral approach.
To join UC3, a university has to be committed to furthering climate action in the higher education sector, agree to support UC3’s Mission Statement, and can fulfill the eligibility requirements.
