Second Nature Initiatives are projects and efforts created, launched, and implemented by Second Nature, and continued to be managed by the organization.
The Solutions Center identifies carbon and energy reducing activities to support campus climate action goals. The objective of the Solutions Center is to help campuses review more quickly the solutions available and to help build a presentation for decision-makers to be able to assess and prioritize decisions faster in order to accelerate climate action.
Solutions Center: Pro Bono Consulting
The Pro Bono Consulting effort is an opportunity for colleges and universities who are Climate Leadership Network signatories and/or University Climate Change Coalition (UC3) members to apply for strategic advisory services to help advance their campus climate efforts.
The Acceleration Fund is dedicated to supporting innovative cross-sector climate action activities driven by colleges and universities. This is an exclusive opportunity for the colleges and universities who are Climate Leadership Network signatories and/or University Climate Change Coalition (UC3) members.
Carbon Credit and Purchasing Program (C2P2)
C2P2 is an initiative to support colleges and universities in developing and marketing carbon offsets as a way to accelerate their progress towards campus carbon neutrality.

America Is All In (AIAI)
Formerly We Are Still In (WASI), is a ramped up call for climate action of more than 3,900 from all different sectors; including higher education. Second Nature helped to coordinate the original joint declaration.
Green Revolving Investment Tracking System (GRITS)
An online tracking platform that allows users to track the energy, financial, and carbon savings data from sustainability projects. Through the a partnership between Second Nature and the Sustainable Endowments Institute (SEI), all Climate Leadership Network signatories have free access to GRITS as a signatory benefit.
Race to Zero
A global campaign to mobilize leadership and support from businesses, higher education, cities, regions, and investors, for a Healthy, Resilient and Fair Zero carbon recovery that prevents future threats, creates decent jobs and unlocks inclusive, sustainable growth. Second Nature is a partner in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change’s (UNFCCC) Race to Zero Campaign.
Climate Mayors Electric Vehicle (EV) Purchasing Collaborative
Works to leverage the buying power of U.S. Climate Mayors cities – and now higher education institutions – to reduce the cost of EVs and charging stations. Second Nature is an Outreach Partner for the EV Purchasing Collaborative. Read a press release about our partnership!
New England for Offshore Wind (NE4OSW)
A broad-based coalition of partners from diverse organizations and communities in the New England area, who are in support of increasing clean energy to the regional grid by procuring responsibly developed offshore wind, as one way to help fight climate change. Second Nature is a Coalition Partner!
