Greetings Students Interested in Climate Resilience and Sustainability!
The Office of Sustainability and the Arizona Institutes for Resilient Environment & Societies (AIRES) are holding a University Climate Change Coalition (UC3) workshop for students Wednesday, January 29th from 3:00pm-5:00pm in the Silver & Sage Room of Old Main! Additional information on the University’s membership in UC3 may be found here. We have exciting developments to report regarding the potential for students to work with faculty, staff and community collaborators to promote a more sustainable future; funding is potentially available for student engagement in UC3 projects.
Light refreshments will be provided at the event and we hope to have several University administrators with us.
Due to the space constraints of Silver & Sage, we are requesting that all interested attendees fill out this RSVP Form no later than Monday, January 27 at 5:00pm. This event will be first come/first served, but we will report out to any of you who are interested regardless of whether you are able to make it to this event.
Several ideas for university/community collaborative partnerships have already been developed through conversations with community members, faculty, and staff. We will share those ideas, but are particularly interested in including student perspectives in our proposed approach. We will combine the earlier ideas with ideas that come from this event to generate a final list of project proposals.
