2011 ACUPCC Climate Leadership Summit
June 21, 2011
The 5th Annual American College & University Presidents’ Climate Commitment (ACUPCC) Climate Leadership Summit took place June 23-24 in Washington, DC at The George Washington University. Participants included college and university presidents, chancellors, and business officers among others. Frank Sesno, Director of GW’s School of Media and Public Affairs, focused his keynote address on media and the power of communication. The presentation of the second annual Second Nature Climate Leadership Awards was another highlight of the event, recognizing ten ACUPCC signatories that are leading the way in sustainability.
The campus venue was a great success, and signatory institutions will host all summits in the future. Presidents, provosts, and business officers, mark your calendars:
