The Higher Education Climate Leadership Summit, hosted by Second Nature and the Intentional Endowments Network, is the premier annual gathering of higher education leaders committed to addressing inequality and the climate crisis. The 2022 Summit (April 5-8, 2022) provided the space for courageous conversations, the creation of new partnerships, connecting with peers and cross-sectoral climate champions, all towards the overarching goal of finding solutions to the most consequential climate and justice issues of our time. The 2022 Summit built off of the year-long 2021 Climate Action Pursuit.
The Climate Action Pursuit – co-hosted by Second Nature and the Intentional Endowments Network (IEN) – was a new concept with the purpose of bringing people together during four milestone events throughout 2021 for flexible virtual programming that would equip participants with the tools and resources necessary to help them move forward over the year on their climate goals.
The SOLVE Dialogue Series was an initiative that was created in partnership with network liaisons and developed as a peer-to-peer platform aimed at addressing some of the most pressing issues facing campus climate leaders. SOLVE brought together campus climate professionals – by coming together as a community, sharing ideas, and developing actionable solutions, we believe we can SOLVE the most pressing climate-related issues and continue to accelerate climate action on campus and in our communities.
The Higher Education Climate Leadership Summit is an annual in-person event Second Nature co-hosts with the Intentional Endowments Network (IEN). Unlike any other climate-focused conference or summit, the Higher Education Climate Leadership Summit provides the unique opportunity for campus climate leaders to gather with one another in one location for a few days to focus on accelerating their climate action and creating climate solutions.
