Ricardo Rubio, University of Utah
Ricardo Rubio is a Doctoral student in the Department of Sociology and a Research Assistant under Dr. Sara Grineski at the Center for Natural and Technological Hazards at the University of Utah. He has conducted research environmental justice with a particular focus on exposure to heat, air pollution, and food security. Ricardo obtained his Bachelor of Arts (2018) in Psychology from the University of Texas at El Paso and his Master’s of Science (2020) in Sociology from the University of Utah. He is an author on seven articles and one book chapter. As a UC3 fellow, Ricardo is working with his cohort to conduct a comprehensive Climate Action Plan for the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences at his university that is focused on equity.
