Peter Cunningham

Climate Programs Intern

Peter Cunningham joined the Second Nature team as a Climate Programs Intern in February 2018. Peter attends Northeastern University in Boston and will obtain his BA in International Affairs with minors in Social Entrepreneurship and Political Science in May 2018.

Peter is a native of Jamaica, which has profoundly influenced his interest in issues of climate resilience and sustainability, particularly as these topics relate to small island states. This interest has manifested itself in various experiences and opportunities throughout his undergraduate career. For example, he represented Northeastern’s Program on Human Rights and the Global Economy (PHRGE) at the COY11 youth climate conference in Paris, where his team presented on community organizing around environmental concerns. He plans to pursue a career in international development through a focus on increasing global access to sources of renewable energy.
