Thank you for registering for the 2018 Higher Education Climate Leadership Summit taking place at the DoubleTree Tempe, Sunday, February 4 – Tuesday, February 6, 2018 in Tempe, AZ. Below are important details to make your trip more enjoyable.

Hotel Check-In and Check-Out

  • CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT Check-in time is 3:00pm. Checkout time is 12:00 pm. Please contact the hotel directly for any requests of early arrival and late departure, which will be granted based on availability.
  • Luggage storage arrangements can be made with Guest Services in the hotel lobby if you are checking out but remaining for the duration of the Summit.
  • Cancellation policies may vary depending on the rate or dates of your reservation. Please refer to your reservation confirmation to verify your cancellation policy. If you need further assistance, call the hotel directly, 480-967-1441, or contact customer service. Alternatively, you can cancel your reservation online.

Airport Transportation

  • Complimentary Shuttle service is available. Please follow these instructions upon landing at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport:
    • After you collect your luggage please call the hotel for pick up. There is a courtesy phone located in baggage claim or you can call 480-967-1441 from your cell phone. The operator will then let you know where to wait for shuttle pick up (location dependent on terminal).
      The shuttle takes approx. 15-30 to pick up depending on volume of calls.
    • Please Note: the shuttle is not allowed to stop at the airport unless someone is standing at the pick up location. The hotel requests that you collect all luggage before calling.
  • Please visit the Hotel’s website for detailed driving directions to the hotel. There you can enter your type of transportation and receive a cost estimate for your travel.
  • LYFT: Download the app to get around town in Tempe.

Hotel Check-In and Check-Out

  • Luggage storage arrangements can be made with Guest Services in the hotel lobby if you are checking out but remaining for the duration of the Summit.
  • Cancellation without charges available up to 24hrs in advance of your arrival.

Hotel Guest Amenities
Included with your stay at Fairfield Inn and Suites is a complimentary hot breakfast, serving scrambled eggs and omelettes, greek yogurt, breads, waffles, cereal and oatmeal with coffee and fresh fruits. Wifi and parking are complimentary with your stay.

Airport Transportation
Airport transportation is provided complimentary on demand between 6am and 10pm. Guest will need to call the hotel at 480-967-7161 when they arrive at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport and will receive instructions on where shuttle will pick them up. Return trips to airport is also by demand by asking the Front Desk for this service and time needed.

What’s Included?
Along with all general and concurrent sessions, attendees will receive access to the following catered functions with their Summit registration:

  • Sunday: Welcoming Reception and Super Bowl Viewing Party
  • Monday: Breakfast, Lunch, Coffee/Snack Breaks, and Networking Reception
  • Tuesday: Breakfast, Lunch, Coffee/Snack Break

Receptions will offer light fare and a gathering place for networking and celebration with hosted bars. While dinner is not included, there are several affordable dining options within walking distance of the hotel and an amazing culinary scene within a short Lyft ride. The hotel concierge will be glad to assist you in finding the right restaurant for your group.

Workshops and pre/post Summit meetings
For those attending pre- or post- event workshops or meetings, please be sure to have lunch before arriving. Light snacks will be made available.

WiFi
Complimentary internet service can be accessed in hotel guestrooms and public spaces. In order to keep conference costs low, WiFi will not be available in the conference center for the duration of the event, other than for presenters needing to access the web as part of their presentation. Please use your smartphone hotspot to connect while in the conference center or utilize the complimentary hotel lobby WiFi.

Conference Cancellations
Cancellation: Any registration cancelled after Friday, January 12th will incur a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations after January 29 will not receive a refund. Substitutions are welcomed.
