The ACUPCC remains one of the highest-impact efforts within higher education, and nationally, that is confronting the climate challenge. This year Second Nature accepted an EPA Environmental Merit Award on behalf of the network, for achieving greenhouse reductions in campus operations and accelerating the education, research, and community engagement needed to equip society for 21st century challenges. The ACUPCC is a partnership of 674 colleges and universities in every state and the District of Columbia who have committed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and prepare students through research and education to solve the challenges of the 21st century.
